I am brand new to the pipe smoking world and so far have limited my experience. But I decided to order a couple of samples of aromatic blends from the Country Squire. My order was processed quickly and efficiently, and I received it in the mail yesterday. Last night my son and I tried out Trumpeter for the first time and boy were we ever satisfied. The bag note was very pleasant, and I could clearly detect the hint of chocolate and dark cherry. It lite easy and made a very pleasant dry smoke with no bite at all. On the retro-hale we could get a clear flavor, more chocolate than cherry but the cherry is there. Not overwhelming at all and had a wonderful room note. The taste was there for the entire bowl, and it even lingered ever so slightly for an hour or so after. We both put this blend at the top of our list to buy more of and are looking forward to trying out Blue Ribbon soon.
